One Petri Dish to Rule Them (Apr 21, 2008 - Oct 22, 2008)
This idea behind this game is to allow players to have isolated starting positions. It takes place in a large universe with very dense clusters, or bubbles of planets arranged in a ring. Each cluster will be about 400 ly in diameter and contain 50-60 planets. There will be at least 130 ly between each of the clusters. The center of the ring will be very sparsely scattered with planets as well. The game will progress two turns at a time through the first 25 years, and then proceed normally. Game will have Public Player Scores and Acclerated BBS Start. If playing a CA, you cannot take the TT advantage and your hab ratio limit is 1:10.
Victory will be declared when a player's score is greater than 250% of the 2nd highest player's score or when 200 years have passed. Players may ally as always. In addition any number of players may make a public, binding alliance to work toward an allied victory using the average of their scores. Such public alliances cannot be revoked and must be made before turn 170. Hosted by email hoster, using I version.
